Darrin Hosegrove is Ashburton Cookery School’s Chef Director. He was previously New Product Development Chef for Oscar Mayer Ltd, supplying innovative ideas to Sainsbury’s.

He trained at Exeter College where he won the Student of the Year accolade two years running before beginning his career at the renowned Gidleigh Park Hotel working under the guidance of Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hill. He left there in 1990 and went on to work with David Wilson at the Peat Inn and Chris Oakes in Gloucestershire.

Darrin became a Head Chef aged 25, gaining two AA rosettes
at Drakes Restaurant in Exeter before returning to Exeter Catering College as a Lecturer in Food Studies where he spent four years teaching cookery skills to
an advanced level.
