We offer wine courses and tastings from beginners to would-be sommeliers and professional courses for career-based training. If you are passionate about wine or just want to know your way around a wine menu, we have a wine course to suit you.

Our Wine School Tutors are wine experts and well respected in their discipline. Our classes are small, relaxed and enjoyable and we have a practical and easy style of tuition which is designed to give you the maximum enjoyment.

We have 3 skill levels to suit beginners to experienced wine enthusiasts.

Level 1 Wine Foundation

Our Level 1 Wine Foundation is a WSET accredited course that is the perfect introduction to wine appreciation and perfect for those looking to learn more about wine.

Level 2 Wine Appreciation

Our Level 2 Wine Appreciation courses explore distinct wine regions and grape varieties. These are fun courses that give you the confidence and experience to fully enjoy the wines being studied. Our wine appreciation courses include a superb 3 course lunch prepared by an Ashburton Cookery School chef tutor, designed to match the wines you will be working with on the day.

Level 3 Wine Masterclass

Our Wine Masterclasses are designed for the serious wine enthusiast. You will enjoy fine wines that explemplify the region and grape varieties that you will be studying to an advanced level. Masterclasses include a fine lunch prepared by an Ashburton Cookery School chef tutor. Completion of 6 masterclasses results in the award of our prestiguous Ashburton Wine School Diploma.
