The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Foundation Certificate is an entry level qualification providing a straightforward introduction to wine. It is ideal for boosting the confidence of new or inexperienced front line staff in the hospitality and retail sectors.

It also offers a great opportunity for the wine consumer to understand which styles they like and why, and how to conquer the mystery of food and wine matching.

The course leads to a UK Government recognized qualification, gained by successfully completing a multiple-choice paper of 30 questions, a food and wine matching exercise, and a portfolio of tasting notes. This qualification is accredited at Level 1 in the UK National Qualifications Framework.

A workbook and a delicious buffet lunch are included with this course. During the course you will taste at least 9 wines to support your learning.

An exam will be sat at the end of the course to give you a recognised qualification from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). The exam consists of a 30 question multiple choice paper.
