The Cookery School & Chefs Academy
Our Cookery School was purpose built and opened in Oct 2009. As well as our head office it is home to our Mediterranean, Dartmoor & Fusion Kitchens where we run our professional chef training courses. At weekends we also run our half-day, one-day and weekend cookery courses.
Dartmoor Kitchen

The Dartmoor Kitchen is a large space with high ceiling, natural light and air conditioning. There are workstations for 2 students divided by perspex screens to ensure you have a safe environment to work in. The chef demonstration area is equipped with a large 4k screen and camera to provide exceptional viewing. Workstations are fully equipped with knives and pans, and students have their own oven, gas hob, induction hob and sink. The kitchen has a walk-in fridge for storage of produce. The room open out onto a theory and dining room which also has it's own terrace patio.
Mediterranean Kitchen

The Mediterranean kitchen is a large kitchen with high ceiling and natural light. Four workstations allow a total of 8 students to work independently with maximum covid19-secure features isolating student workspaces from each other. A chef demonstration area is equipped with a large 4k screen. Workstations are fully equipped with knives and pans, and 2 students each share an oven, gas hob, induction hob and sink. The kitchen has a walk-in fridge for storage of produce. The room open out onto a theory and dining room which also has it's own terrace patio.
Fusion Kitchen

The Fusion kitchen is on the first floor and with it's high church ceiling feels open and bright. Movable granite workstations provide a flexible working space in front of the chef demonstration area, with ovens and hobs arranged around the outside. The chef demo station is equipped with multiple HD video screens. A large dining room with views over the hills is used for theory sessions and meals.
