Wow, not often one gets the opportunity to be taught by a professional chef that formerly worked for the Savoy Group! Colin explains everything in an easy-going style & ensured it was both a great day out and a terrific learning experience. I was being taught all the techniques that a top London chef would employ. I really learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

“Have used the skills learned many times since”
Loved my day there and have used the skills learned many times since, which is the true test of its success. Would never have thought of using a paintbrush as a pastry brush - much better and its this sort of tip that's really useful. I cook a lot at home but never bothered with patisserie before as too many stages and fiddly, but learning that it can be done over days was a real bonus.

“The course was inspiring!”
This was the best of the 4 courses I have done at Ashburton. Both my sister and I came away thinking what a great day we'd had. The course was inspiring and we have taken away a lot of ideas for future cooking. One of the main things it showed me was that patisserie is not as difficult as I thought and that it is something I can do at home on my own. Many thanks from us both to Phil and Adrian for their friendliness, support and knowledge.

“The facilities were excellent”
The greeting I received from the front desk upon my arrival was very welcoming. The facilities were excellent and I did not see anything that I would want to change. I was very impressed by how well the kitchen was run. The whole operation was very slick helped in a huge part by the two gentleman helping with running the kitchen. I don't know what I was expecting but it was a far better experience than I expected.
