Excellent 2-day Thai course led by Rob and supported by the very patient and helpful Adrian and team. I am a confident cook however I picked up loads of really helpful prep and cooking skills, particularly around the all important seasoning which can be quite tricky with this cuisine. Fabulous quality ingredients and the facilities are top class also. If you can leave without buying up most of the on site store which sells the equipment used in the classes, you are a stronger person than me!

“The courses really do live up to the inspirational description”
I just wanted to thank you, Rob and all the Ashburton Cookery School 'weekend contingent' of staff for an absolutely wonderful weekend learning all about Thai food - it was so much more than just learning to cook a few handy dishes for the odd dinner party. I really felt that I knew something about the food and culture of Thailand by the time we left.
This was course number 2 for me, and the courses really do live up to the inspirational description and element that you aim to achieve. After 50 years of enthusiastic cooking at home (I was charged with cooking the family dinner every night from the age of 12!) I had no idea what a professional cookery course could do for me.
The Advanced Course didn't just teach me classic and modern techniques to make me a better cook, but it broadened my horizons as to what home cooks can achieve and, above all, the respect with which you all treat ingredients changed my attitude towards food completely.
Similarly, the Thai Course has been the 'springboard' I need to go and on and develop what we learned, and incorporate the new skills into what I do at home. My Brother also really enjoyed the course and is already talking enthusiastically about the next course we will attend together!
We also want to thank Jacqueline for looking after us all so well at the lovely accommodation 'down the road'. In the meantime I look forward to my further encounter with Rob over a ball of dough on 20th February, and we both send our kindest regards to you all.
